It’s fair to say that things have not worked out well for Radamel Falcao since his arrival at Old Trafford. In What could be the most expensive loan deal in history, Manchester United have been paying over £300,000 P/w for the misfiring Colombian. Falcao suffered a terrible Knee injury last season, but has never been able to found his best since signing for the Red Devils. Now after his snub from boss Loius Van Gaal in the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal, he has appeared for the u21 squad on Tuesday evening against Tottenham.
The U21 team is effectively the reserves and for a man once nominated for the world player of the year, this is some come down. Van gaal seems desperate to find fitness and match form for his superstar, as Robin Van Persie is seriously injured. Van gall has finally admitted defeat in his stuborn stance on playing Wayne Rooney in midfiedl, as he is a man desperate for goals and an in form forward.
Falcao appeared alongside players like Victor Valdes, and James Wilson who have also been near the first team picture this season. Falcao could yet play a key role in trying to fire Manchester United towards Champions League qualification, and a timely burst of form could be just what under fire boss Louis Van Gaal needs.
It remains to be seen if Radamel Falcao can find enough form in the seasons closing months to convince the powers that be to make his loan deal permanent, but he is fast running out of time to make it happen.
